Faculty of Operations Management & Skills Training (FOMST)
This is one of three (3) faculties of the National Police College of Jamaica (NPCJ)
FOMST comprises two (2) departments
- The Caribbean Search Centre (CSC)
- The Department of Driver Training
Originally, FOMST was established in 2012 as an amalgamation of the Caribbean Search Centre (CSC), the Department of Driver Training (DDT); and the Department of Weapons and Tactical Training (DWTT) under the ‘One Police College’ concept. In 2015, via FO 3555, the Department of Weapons and Tactical Training (DWTT) was realigned as a stand alone entity within the NPCJ, reporting directly to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in charge of the NPCJ.
Our Mission
Train, in sufficient numbers, members of the
- the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF)
- the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) and
- the Department of Correctional Services (DCS)
To:
Operate service vehicles (JCF members only)
Conduct searches for contraband
equip them with the requisite skills and competencies to execute their diverse functions with efficiency and effectiveness.
